Cleaning your Queen Quilt
Instructions and tips for cleaning your queen-sized quilts
When it comes to owning a queen quilt, it is important to keep it clean. Since a bed quilt is something you touch every single day, then it is probably going to get dirty at some point. You will want to clean your quilt before it becomes soiled. You may think quilts would be hard to clean, but they are pretty easy to do and can be cleaned with the rest of your bedding set.
When cleaning your queen quilt, the first step you should take is checking the condition of the quilt. Your quilt will either be in a fragile state or in a good state. This is important as depending on what condition your quilt is in, the method of cleaning it will change.
If your quilt is in a fragile state, then you cannot clean it in a typical washer and dryer. A washer and dryer will cause it to tear and rip which will not be good. Instead, you should fill your bathtub with cold water and you will need to hand-wash the queen quilt. After you hand-wash the bed quilt, you will need a clothesline set up and you should place the quilt on the clothesline. This will let it safely air-dry without ripping. In addition, air-drying will also freshen the quilt.
If your quilt is in good condition, then you can just place it in a washer and dryer. You should set your washer to cold water and use an all-purpose detergent. After the quilt is cleaned, you can either dry it in a dryer, or you can air-dry it on a clothesline. Air-drying it will also make the quilt freshened.
After you get the quilt cleaned and dried, then it is ready to be placed back onto your bed. Your queen quilt is now cleaned and can be used again.
